Live music, handcrafted brews, Red Sox watch parties, and ballpark-inspired snacks are all things you can find at Cisco Brewers Fenway, the newest location of the iconic Nantucket-based company.
Mini Warehousing partnered closely with Cisco to create their outdoor beer garden, creating custom stage, bar, and merchandise areas that are secure, customizable, and weather-resistant.
Process
The base used for nearly every unit at Cisco is the 20’ Open Side container. These containers are flexible and secure, making them the ideal starting point for custom containers.
With modifications, the open side containers are transformed into bar, stage, and merchandise units, opening fully to allow total access from one side. When it’s closing time, these containers are fully closed and locked, securing all valuables inside. Additionally, the containers can be easily adjusted on-site so only the middle 10’ is open, allowing a greater surface area for advertisements and banners.
The stage container is also adaptable depending on the situation. The adjustable doors can be opened to allow for a larger stage, or partially closed to create a backstage area where performers can store equipment. The light gauge metal awnings on the container are also removable, and we host a training to get their team oriented on day-to-day container operation.
The Mini Warehousing team is involved in every step of the process, from initial design to event execution. Since Cisco’s Fenway beer garden is a seasonal recurring event, we collaborate with the Cisco team on delivery, setup, and takedown.
When the beer garden opens up for the season, there are constant deliveries to the downtown Boston site, an area which is cramped even in the best of times. Because of the tight space, there’s a careful order of operations when it comes to deliveries. Our team collaborates with Cisco and other vendors to make sure the containers are delivered in the correct order and orientation so there are no future headaches or adjustments.
I’ve worked with Mini Warehousing for over 6 years now and the process has been excellent. The containers have worked outstanding for our bar concepts in the Seaport & Fenway areas year after year.
The delivery and pickup each year for our seasonal Seaport location is no a small feat that requires repeated planning & replanning. We appreciate the patience and effort each year!
